Welcome to the Sleep is a Skill podcast. This was a challenging podcast to hop into because we just kept chatting before even hitting record. I know there's gonna be lots of gems in here and even before getting on this podcast, we had a preliminary call before, you know, a while back and just talked and talked and talked.
Like there is just so much wisdom coming from our guest today and I think you're gonna be really, really interested. So Todd, thank you so much for taking the time to be here.
Thanks for having me, Molly. I'm excited as always to educate and talk, so
yes, me too. Very excited. Okay, so maybe starting at the beginning of how you found yourself in this area, this unique area we're gonna get into things around quantum entanglement, quantum physics, all kinds of quantum energy.
A lot of quantum being thrown around. Yeah. So how did you find yourself in this space?
So I actually got myself into this space, uh, just out of one of those, I was one of the people that tried to debunk it. Um, you know, back in like 2015. Uh, I, I was doing all these things on social media, all these wild things and testing to see what was working for people and what wasn't.
And when I saw this. Quantum thing. It was like, all right guys, I'm gonna be the savior here and I'm gonna, I'm gonna go through the, I'm gonna pay for all the tests that I'm gonna do, and I'm gonna show everyone that you're wasting money on quantum anything. Right? And, um, so what I had done at the time was there was this necklace that had, um, all these micronutrients in it, and it was all, they're all frequency, this quantum energy.
I am a very monotonous eater and back then I was carnivore. I was also trying to debunk carnivore, uh, you know, because as my entire time as a nutritionist, too much protein's bad, all this stuff. So, um, I'm always open to being wrong and I'm, I, I, yeah. Anytime I do that, I become the other side of it. I'm like, this is a great product.
So. What I had done was I was a monotonous eater and, uh, I basically, I was doing these SpectraCell micronutrient tests and back then they're like $600 a test. Um, and I have no idea what they're anymore. But, um, you know, it's very in involved and I, I would do it for, I did it for 40 days. The first 40 days.
I, I saw all my, um, deficiencies in my, you know, in my micronutrients. And then I wore the necklace for the next 40 days and I wore it. Um, I ate the same thing. All my numbers were optimal. And I was like, okay, interesting. So I went another 40 days and they stayed optimal. I did another 40 days and they were optimal.
And then I removed it and still continued eating the same thing and all my numbers went deficient again. And that was a huge alert to me at least. Like, Hey, this isn't like hardcore science, but there is something to this. And since that at least shifted my concept that it's, it's sham and fraud. Um, and two.
Okay. There's something to this. And that being said too, because of course we're gonna use the word quantum a lot in here, and I, I do wanna like, acknowledge that it comes across very woo woo. Um. That is unfortunate because there's a lot, uh, it's, it's because there's a lot of unethical marketing out there.
Like there's these people that slap on quantum stickers onto your phone and it'll block EMS and it simply isn't true. Uh, but it just puts a bad taste in, in the rest of everything else. But this is, you know, uh, while we're not, we're like mainly into the physics of it's quantum. There's quantum energy, you have quantum mechanics, quantum biology, it's a whole legitimate thing.
Um, which if we talk about quantum entanglement, the Nobel Prize. Um, and physics was awarded in 2022 to quantum entanglement, so there's a lot of legitimacy and, uh, everything that we talk about pretty much on the podcast will be from like our studies. We have over 65 double-blind placebo controlled studies, so it's very legitimate what we're talking about.
But I also am very aware that initially when you hear the word quantum. It comes across like, ugh. It's, it's, it's, there's an ick to it, and I, I get that, but like what we're doing is legitimizing it because it's not the same. You can't connect it, even though it's the same word. It is a very different field.
Yes. No pun intended. Could you help us define quantum and how in the world could this connect to this topic of sleep?
So that's a, that's a really good question to even start with before we go over people's heads, but like mm-hmm. So we're also, we're talking about like pure quantum energy and it operates at a, a subatomic level.
So we're talking about the energy behind the matter. Uh, it's not. It's not a positive energy. It's not a negative energy, it's just very neutralizing energy and it just radiates outwards. And where we'll go into all this stuff is it's radi radiating outwards is, it's neutralizing and harmonizing everything that it comes in contact with.
Um, this isn't something that we created. Quantum energy has been around since the existence of time. Um, it's just like the ether, uh, our biofield, everything is, it's just everything there. Um. So to be clear, this is not something we invented. Uh, we just, uh, at Lela Quantum, we basically invented a way to harness the pure quantum energy into products that you can utilize.
So, um. I guess if you want me to go into like what that, where we can see the benefits. Do you want to jump into that right away or,
yeah, that would be really interesting because I think commonly people might tune into, if they're tuning into this podcast, we're talking about light, we're talking about diet, we're talking about.
Scheduling all kinds, stress management, all these things to support sleep, but rarely have we spoken about quantum and the quantum field of how that could support sleep. So I think that could be very interesting.
Yeah. Yeah. So that's what's really cool is because with quantum energy and when we created these products, it wasn't like we had this one thing in mind that it's gonna fix this and do this.
It's just been over time where we see where it is benefiting with people's, just, you know, anecdotal experiences at first, and then after that we do studies. And what we're seeing in a good way, the best way I can really describe it in this moment of like if you're talking about like, okay, I'm exposed to pure quantum energy, is you're basically bubble wrapping yourself, uh, from and protecting yourself from any type of, uh, external, uh, environmental stressors.
And we can relate all of this back to sleep, which I love to do anyways, is because it's like, think about that. It's like, so when we're talking about protecting and harmonizing, let's just, let's just jump into EMS really fast because what, when you are exposed to clear, uh, when you're, the, the pure quantum energy is you're gonna, it's.
It's basically harmonizing and neutralizing any of the harmful effects that EMS have on our body. Um, and we can quantify this so it doesn't block the em, it's not like a Faraday cage that you're sleeping in, but we're quantifying this through. We can do it through sleep, but it's like your heart rate variability.
Uh, we can test this real time, we can test your, uh, live blood analysis, so your actual blood in real time and what it does when it's exposed to anything that's stressing it. We can check like calcium channels. Uh, there's a lot of things that we're checking biomarkers to see what's happening. And we do this, you know, um, do third party testing and of course we're, that would be.
I wanna jump into that with sleep is you're basically sleeping in a harmonized environment. So, um, having EMS in the area, of course, when you're trying to sleep the, when you're getting, um, even though we don't see, and a lot of people don't feel EMS, um, they are. Affecting our body and we can see that. So even if you don't feel it, your HRV is dropping.
Calcium channels get very confused and overreact. Um, and, and we see different things that are, are happening to our body so that when we're sleeping, your body can't, where the purpose of sleep is, you know, to rest, recover, um, and your body really, it can do that. It's very resilient, but it might be ultimately afford 80% of the mitochondria can go to.
It's helping you while you sleep. It has to spend 20% like protecting you, um, you know, from the EMS. So, and that's just for starters of what it does.
Yeah, and I'm wondering if you could share, my understanding is you have some studies that look at HRV and some of the effects that you've seen for people when utilizing these technologies and how you can measurably see some changes with HRV.
Yeah, so, uh, we, the most recent one, we just. Did showed. Um, and one thing I wanna say is this is with everyone. So it's not like something where we're gonna say, oh, 40% of people experienced benefits. This is a hundred percent across the board. And I believe that's also just because you're, you're basically creating this force field around yourself from protecting yourself from these external things.
So of course your body is gonna work, basically. It helps your body work at its natural state. So, uh, when you have all these stressors, you all these things going on, your HRV just isn't gonna be up there. So when you're protecting it, uh, we're seeing a, within 10 minutes of being exposed to, uh, our products are a pure quantum energy.
We're seeing a 7% increase in H rv. Um, and then what we're also seeing is this is a brand new one where we're doing with the QEEG device, um, as we're seeing a improvement in activity of alpha and theta Braveway links. So. Um, it's, it's pretty cool to see what's, what's happening, like for helping you with sleep stuff.
But there, it helps you go into a parasympathetic because, uh, which of course is where you want to be also when you're sleeping. Like, there's a lot of things that are occurring. But again, I, I can tell you all these things, but it's like, just imagine yourself in a protected bubble, right? So, uh, it's gonna neutralize the EMS while you're sleeping.
Any environmental stressors, um, anything like that. It's gonna, it balances your nervous system 'cause it's putting you in a parasympathetic. Uh, and it just kind of supports a coherent energy field.
Amazing. I mean, yeah. 'cause we have certainly have some people that, you know, they're of course looking to minimize some of these stressors in their environment, but certain things that maybe are falling outside of their control, or if they're traveling or they're in city environments or what have you.
So these things could help combat some of that to that level, or is it. Depend on how much EMF is in the environment.
So we have put ourselves into, um, the most craziest experience, like, uh, highest EMF, uh, environments you can be in. And it is neutralizing it completely. Um, and again, we're testing this. So for example, uh, you know, when people look at like, Tesla's, um, or these, like, um, this is just a big example I can use because you're kinda like heavy in your face.
Yes, EMF and stressor exposure, you're gonna be in a Tesla or, uh, what we did was the Porsche, uh, the Porsche Electric, which actually puts out the most EMFs in any other car, um, currently available on the market. And we are able to test this. So we're, what we're doing is we're, we're, let's say we're putting someone in a area where there is no EMS, we're testing all our biomarkers, and then we would put them, for example, in the Porsche.
Test all those numbers and all those numbers will show that there's high stress in the environment. You know, your, your, we can look at live blood analysis, meaning like the, the, when that occurs and you have stress, then your blood gets sticky. Um, and we can see this in real time. And again, your HRV just plummets because it's stress.
Um, and then we can take any of our products that contain, um, the, the pure quantum energy. Specifically with this, we're using one of our blocks and because you can have it in the car and within 10 minutes we're retesting. All those biomarkers will be as good or even better than pre-exposure to EMS.
Wow, what a kind of sigh of relief for so many people that are finding themselves in certain environments and kinda at a loss of what to do.
How do you, you know, live a, your own bubble life? But I guess this could be a way to kind of create that bubble. Is there a field kind of square footage that we're talking about that, you know, if people are wondering. Like, well, do I always have to carry this, these things around or what does this look like?
Yeah, that's a very good question. Uh, I guess we can go into that. So each different products we have, uh, have a different radius, and that's the different thing. So for example, I always wear, um, you know, I have my, my heel capsule, and, and this is for your whole body. And you know, for people that are watching on video, 'cause I always clarify, this is interesting 'cause it's like when we're harmonizing, right, these negative effects and you're see that I'm wearing AirPods, I have an Apple watch, I have everything.
And you and I wouldn't be able to have this conversation if it wasn't for technology. The luxury of things that also emitting EMS and. It, it's allowing us to live synergistically with all of this stuff. Like, and, you know, that's kind of where this all was also created. 'cause the founder, uh, was, he was Vice, he was a global vice president of T-Mobile.
So he lived on that one side of all the, the, you know, all that. And then he created this and it's like, let's be able to utilize and benefit the technologies without having to be, not so much afraid of it. But the other option is a Faraday cage basically, or. We do create, uh, EMF blocking clothing and I wear this just 'cause right now it's cold anyways.
But this is an actual EMF blocking jacket. I do that. If I put my cell phone in there, it won't work. It's a fair day, you know? Sure. But that's also not what we're. Suppo like at night. You can do that stuff too if you, you know, people put, like I said, people sleep in Faraday cages or they put their phone in a par fairday pouch and stuff.
Um, but the focus with this is to be able to use all this stuff. Let's like, um, you know, Austin has very high e mfs, uh, the Gulf of Mexico area. That area, like the Gulf Fit is very high in e mfs and it's like, let's be able to, people that are em f sensitive, there's certain towns they just can't go into and it's like, these are the things that really help them.
Because you
can go throughout your day and carry, have a necklace on, um, the blocks. You know, we have, we even have like little frequency cards and like, these are size of a credit card and you can put 'em in your, your, your wallet. And while they all have pure quantum energy charged on them, they also have special frequencies depending on what you want.
Um, we have sleep and rest ones that kind of harmonize and put things into your biofield to, um.
Wow. Kind of
help with, with sleep, but then we have our blocks, which are much bigger. Um, and the blocks, which I'll just, I always keep these around 'cause they're always around me. Um, but just so your audience can see, like, this is the block that we're talking about.
Yeah. Um, and with the block, uh, it has that one, that specific one has almost a half a mile radius of harmonizing everything. So like, if you live in an apartment complex. That's where this stuff's really beneficial because you're harmonizing everyone and going to sleep of course. Like, you know, um, if, if you live in an apartment or, or town home and your bed is against, or your, you know, against a wall and your head's against that wall, you may or may not, depending on circumstance, be sleeping two feet from a router from your neighbor.
Um, and then that is gonna mess up your sleep. So that's where things like this come, uh, very beneficial too. So,
wow. That could certainly give some peace of mind for people that have felt like not a lot of options in those situations. So is there a way to kind of help understand or break down a bit more of like, what is this material just so for the person that's like, what, how could this possibly be?
Is there a way to kind of, uh, conceptualize this so that we can understand how this is working?
So the only proprietary aspect of the company, just being on the business side of it is, uh, and this is, I don't, you know, I, I'm not even aware of it, is, is how are we harnessing the, the, the pure quantum energy to it?
And all of, all of our pieces are metal. Um, and again though, while we hold that proprietary blend, that's why I always say is like the ball is in our court to prove that everything works. Um, because I can see that where they're like, well, there, it's not charged, not electricity. How's this working? It's like, well, we have 65 plus double blind placebo controlled studies that are showing that it is working.
And um, plus also if you just feel it, like that's another thing where it's like, that's why conferences are really good. Or if someone can see it in person. They put their hands under the block and they can actually feel things we can show them in real time their HRV change, uh, at conferences 'cause we have the machines to do all that kind of stuff and see your biofield.
Um, but it's, it's kind of a, you know, I, I get that where it's kind of a confusion of like, okay, well you're talking about quantum, what is this? And again, 'cause it's invisible. Um, and I think, you know, cell phone. Signals are invisible, microwaves are invisible. And I sometimes feel like, uh, best way to say, it's like, it'd be like us right now going back 500 years into history and trying to explain to someone that we have these cell phones and that we'll be able to talk to someone across the entire world, instantly see their video, you know, real time, all that.
And people are like, sounds, yeah. Your, yeah, your heretic. You know, like, that's not true. That's never gonna happen. And, and here we are now and we're finding ways. Even though this has always been around, we just haven't been able to find ways to really utilize it and, and harness it the way we have. Um, and we're just still working.
You know, it's like how do we quantify this more and more and more? And we're, we're hungry to find, uh, opportunities to do studies. And we have so many different studies from harmonizing food that can make you, uh, if you might be allergic to food, we can show a 92% reduction in the stress that like sugar and gluten puts on our body.
Um, and we have so many different things that we're finding. Again, it's not why we created it. We're just seeing like this is a side effect of pure quantum energy.
If you've tuned into the show or followed any of our content here at Sleep as a Skill, you may have heard that everyone that we work with wears the Ora Ring, and as a result, we have amassed a very large database of Ora Ring users and get to see what really moves a needle for people when it comes to their sleep measurably.
Now, because we have so much data around sleep optimization, many ask. What they can do to improve their sleep quality. And for years, my answer has been that one of the few things I've seen makes such an overnight difference is the use of a quality cooling mattress topper, not just any ordinary topper that claims to be cooling with like gels or what have you, but an actual cooling topper that uses water and can be dynamically adjusted to suit your unique needs and preferences.
Now this is why I am so excited to announce. That eight Sleep is now an official sponsor of the podcast. I have tested various cooling, mattress toppers and fan systems over the years, and none of them have come close to the innovative and customizable, seamless nature of the eight sleep system. Not only does it have an.
Autopilot feature to intelligently adjust the temperature of the topper to work in alignment with your body's needs, but it also has additional features that truly set it apart. So with eight sleep, you can enjoy advanced sleep tracking, allowing you to monitor key metrics like heart rate, heart rate variability, and sleep stages all integrated seamlessly into the app.
It also has a dual zone temperature control, which means that you and your partner can each set your own ideal sleep temperature. Plus the gentle rise wake up technology uses temperature and vibration to wake you up gently and naturally avoiding the jarring sound of an alarm. But it doesn't stop there.
There's more, more, more so. The system even includes a smart alarm feature that wakes you up during your lightest. Sleep phase. I know a lot of people have asked me about this, and this is included in here within a customizable time window, ensuring you wake up feeling refreshed and ready to start your day.
And for those of you who struggle with snoring eight, sleep has an anti snore feature that adjusts your sleep environment in real time to help reduce snoring and improve overall sleep quality. So this is truly a game changer for anyone serious about optimizing their sleep. So if you're ready to take your sleep to the next level.
Head on over to eight. Sleep and use the code. Sleep is a skill, all one word at checkout for a discount. Are your daily rituals supporting your sleep or sabotaging it? I study sleep for a living and one of the most underappreciated disruptors I see is too much caffeine, too late in the day. That innocent second cup can keep your nervous system wired.
Make it harder to produce melatonin at night and ultimately wreck your deep. Sleep. That's why I am a fan of mud water, so spelled WTR. It's a coffee alternative made with mushrooms and adaptogens that give you focus and steady energy without the crash, jitters, or poor sleep. I love it for morning rituals because it's got a fraction of the caffeine so you can get that cozy alert feeling without.
Overloading your system. And they also have an evening blend that I use as part of my wind down ritual. It helps your body downshift into a more relaxed state so you can transition from go, go, go mode to real rest naturally. Now their starter kit includes both blends and a free thro. You know that like throt, 15% off and even 45 days of access to their meditation app.
So you can start building. Sleep friendly rituals from morning to night. Now you can just head on over to www.mudwaterspelledwt.com/sleep is a skill to grab your starter kit and start supporting your energy and your sleep. You can also check out in the show notes for that same link as well. With the blocked, and you spoke to the food piece, that there's certain ways that you can interact with the block and put certain things into the block.
Wondering if you could share a little bit about what that looks like. There seems to be a kind of procedure to that.
Yeah. You can put anything in the block. Uh, you can put you, you know, you can put anything that's metal in there and you can charge it and have it on a higher vibration. You put your food under there, you can put water.
So the Emoto Institute, most people know the Emoto study of happiness and sa, like everything they did with the water. So they're an actual institute in Japan and we sent our products out to them to test with water. And they came back and they asked us if they could actually carry and sell our products at the Emoto Institute.
And we are the only. Company that they've ever done that with, uh, because they were amazed on how fast it changed the structure of the water. Um, it. You can put fruit under there. So we're in Austin, of course, and across other places you have like Sun Life Organics. Um, and for people who dunno, sun Life Organics, it's a, it's a really awesome place for us.
Sea bowls and, um, smoothies and all these different like high-end fun stuff. But if you go there, you'll see they have a Leila block at every location because they can put their fruit under there and they understand that when you know fruit is full of water and you're gonna enhance it, you're structuring it.
So they put all their smoothies and acce bowls under the block to enhance the flavor. I mean, there's just so many different things you can put under there, uh, to, again, you're, you're kind of creating a higher vibration of it. So your necklace is metal, um, and you put food under there to the food.
Basically, it'll restore it back to an organic state. So if you don't have organic food, you can put it under there. And we see that like a blackberry and stuff, you can bring it out to like back to its organic state because it's harmonizing it and removing anything bad in it.
Okay. So for people listening that are saying, all right, well I just wanna improve my sleep, would you say, approach this as a kind of a lifestyle so that.
Not only is it supporting your sleep environment, but maybe your ability to kind of lower that sympathetic response state by day. And also minimizing some of the impacts to your point around the foods and water, um, sources, et cetera. So you think of it more as a holistic approach and then that's gonna support your sleep at night.
Yes. So like for me, I wear the necklace all during the day. Yeah. And the necklace, the thing is, I choose not to wear the necklace at night. And sometimes, like, this isn't something you wanna sleep three feet from because, uh, with the pure quantum energy, it can, it can be a mild stimulator, uh, initially until your body gets used to it.
And we see that a lot where people, if they've never been exposed to it and they come right next to the block, we can also see that their heart rate increases. Just
move the big block into the bedroom. And I'm glad you're saying this 'cause I will relocate that.
Yes. And that'll be something where you'll notice if you are or not.
And if you've been around it for a while, it's not gonna be a problem. But it's just the adjustment your body takes, um, getting, getting there. So it's not something that, it's like forever. 'cause now I sleep with one, you know, I sleep with a block probably. Five or six feet away from us, um, in our bedroom.
But it's something like where the, the ca uh, you know, sometimes when people put on a our necklace, it's too intense for them. And, uh, surprisingly it happens a lot. People, especially if you're sensitive to energy, and there are, so the capsules, uh, holds the frequency on the outside of the brass. On the inside you've got these like titanium spheres.
And those are what are charged with the pure quantum energy. So sometimes people have to remove those because it's a little too intensive At first, you will get used to it. It's not something like a forever thing. So, you know, it's, it's having, just having the block inside your house though is gonna help you with your sleep and, and harmonize anything negative.
It's in that entire space. You don't have to have it round, but like again is like day-to-day things. Um, I mean, I have a block in the, like I'll move a block around in the kitchen and uh, I have like the large block. Yes. Anything that comes through the house. Basically anything that ever comes to my house, my wife.
Puts through there to harmonize, uh, whether it's neutralizing energies for things, if she buys anything, uh, from a store, like a, a piece of furniture like that, like she'll do things and, and have it in there to which we can see can, um, even if it's a photo of a couch, that's kind of cool. Like, I won't go too far off, but like, if you have large pieces of furniture that you bought from an antique store, um, that could be holding energies.
So you could take an actual photo of that, put it in the block, and now this is what we can go into further about the quantum entanglement. Uh, but it'll harmonize it 'cause it's identifying it. Um. So you can put like whole bags of whole food, uh, whole food, um, you know, grocery bags in there. And we put everything, every, all of our food goes through there.
Well, I am getting a Whole Foods delivery, I think. Oh, it's right outside. So, uh, so maybe I'll have to do that right after this podcast. Yeah,
absolutely. Yeah. 'cause you're enhancing all that food.
Mm-hmm. You're,
you're neutralizing anything. Um, and enhancing the flavors of stuff, which is very, it's noticeable for sure.
So it's, it's, it's there.
Wow. So interesting. And you said, especially for people from a more kind of observable perspective, people that have like food allergies or hives or certain things are seeing relief by using this.
So I started doing that stuff again, these are all things that were like, let's just see what it can do.
Uh, and when, uh, the head of Lela Quantum is Ion Mitchell and he was talking to me about, um, and this was like 2020. When I started getting involved with Leila at that time, and he's like, yeah, it just harmonizes everything that's bad. And I'm like, well, that means it's gonna harmonize food that I'm allergic to.
And he is like, Hmm, well maybe I don't know if you should do that. I'm gonna try it. That's what I told him. So. The name of science, I, uh, I'm severely allergic. Severely allergic, like, not fatally, but it is a horrible response for a good eight hours of my life if I eat crab, honey or avocado. Whoa. Um, and it's instant.
It's very instant. Uh, it's, it's a horrible histamine response. My throat can close up. Uh, I can feel a swell. Uh, my nose burns and I can get really red and burning, itchy. And so what we, what I found initially was that I could, I put in a block for like. Five or six minutes and then I could eat it. And there was zero response.
And so again, you know, this isn't hard science initially, so it's like, okay, placebo, I get it. Like I understand and, and can respect placebo and okay, this could be placebo. So then, um, the next day I had my wife choose which one to, if she was gonna put it in the block or not, and not tell me. Um, and then we, so we did that a few times and every time the reaction was that, oh, I didn't put it in the block.
Yeah, I got a high response. Okay, you put it in the block. I didn't, I didn't know, but she knew. And then we continued to this further and further, um, to see there was something to it. So what we did in front of like a thousand people at the biohacking conference, at Dave's conference was we were on stage and we took a derma roller to my forearm and I did it, and I put the crab meat on it and instantly it just rose up in hives.
It burned, it was. Just really just uncomfortable. You could see my hand around whole forearm instantly respond. So we took that same crab we put under the block and for like five or six minutes, again, I think that one was specifically six minutes. Ian Mitchell was on stage and he is talking about the science, about why this is actually working.
And then once he was done with that, it was, we did the other arm, uh, with that crab that had been charged and there was zero. Uh, zero response on that side. And now what would be cool is I could take my left arm, but I initially did it. Now if I put it under the block, I get a cooling sensation and all that itchiness goes away, but it doesn't visually go away.
Um, but the, the discomfort goes away like instantly. So it's like becomes a cooling effect because it's, it's, um, again, things like the benefits of that when you have pure quantum energy is your blood becomes way more visceral. So I, I think it's healing faster. Um. The way ion described this originally is if you look at like an ocean and you have all these like aggressive waves on the top, and that's all the disturbance, that's the disruptive wave form patterns that are causing the issue.
And it's like taking it and just wiping it clean and making it like a smooth o uh, smooth ocean, you know? And so I did that and they started talking about people doing this and. The owner was like, whoa, like this is the dangerous part. Like we can't be messing with food allergies and stuff. And so one person, uh, in the telegram group had it and that they tried it with lemon juice and they're, they're really allergic and they could start doing that.
And then about like 15 other people are like, Hey, I tried it with these foods and that was allergic too, and now I can do it. So after that, Philip Cle or something to it. So we did a study, uh, and the study they did was in, uh, England where, and I, I don't wanna misspeak too much on like the actual science, but I can tell you basically, um.
When you eat something that you have an allergic response to, um, they can test your, your urine and it'll show there's something in there, whether it's a protein or something that shows up highly active that can tell you, oh, you ate something that you're allergic to. And, uh, so learning this, what they did is they found a, basically with everyone else, uh, after doing this double-blind placebo controlled studies with it, it was a 92%.
Reduction in the stress that the foods will have on your body. So again, even like sugar and gluten. So if your celiac's not something you wanna touch and you have this severe allergy, but it is what we're seeing is a 92 per 92% reduction in the stress this has. Um, and for me, it's enough that I don't feel it when I eat crab or I mean avocado.
So I can enjoy that. And that's why I have a little travel block. 'cause I love crab. Yeah, I love honey and I love avocado. It's like, why did that 'cause it happened like when I was 30. My, my, I don't know what happened, my gut biome or whatever was it just. Flip to switch. So, um, I will, I can still eat it now.
I take my little travel block, which is a smaller one, and I, if I wanna get anything, I put it under the block before I eat it at a restaurant.
Amazing. Wow. Okay. This is, so just what I mean, the implications of all this is just fascinating. Well, before we shift gears to hearing how you're managing your own sleep, clearly you've thought deeply about these things that can Im impact your health and biology and and wellbeing.
So definitely curious to hear what you're doing. But any parting or closing thoughts on this huge topic around sleep, quantum biology and how these products could make a difference for sleep?
Sure. I mean, I guess a few other things we didn't talk about, you know, is that we do have a study where we saw a, uh, a 29% increase in a TP production, and we saw a hundred percent increase in wound healing.
And then also improves oxygenation. And I, while those specifically aren't saying, Hey, this is gonna help you with your sleep, but if you're exposed to this and you're allowing your body to heal twice as fast, I can only imagine and believe what it's doing for you, uh, to support your sleep too. Uh, same thing with a TP, like you're allowing your body to.
Work way better than it wasn't. So those are other things. I think, uh, again, while the studies weren't sleep specific, uh, I think when you take the data from that and you can see where else can you utilize this in your life, um, those are the things and you know, for me, I sleep is probably one of the most important things.
It, it is the most important thing for me in terms of, but there's a lot that. A lot of actions and activity to lead up to good sleep. And I, you know, I was pre-med in college and, um, I wore that I, I wore that badge of honor. I got an hour of sleep guys and I got two hours today, you know, and it was a badge of honor for all of us.
Oh, well, who got the less amount of sleep. And it's like, looking back at that is, it was so horrible. Um. It's sad to see that. So like, I, I respect and understand, like for me it's eight hours minimum. Um, each, each day like. I've always been focused on my sleep, probably for the last, at least like 15 years.
Which is funny 'cause it was right when I had my twins and all of a sudden, all of a sudden sleep became important, you know? But, um, I was, I had, it was my kids, my, my twins was born, they slept eight hours a night, 10, 12 plus hours. Like, I never had too much disruptive sleep. But that's about when it became pretty important to me.
Oh, that makes a lot of sense. Uh, very relatable story for sure. Well, let's hear too, that'll be exciting to understand how you think about your sleep. And it sounds like you've really protected it and have it really workable in your life. So the first question we ask everyone is, what does your nightly sleep routine look like right now?
So nightly, it kind of starts in the morning, if that helps, uh, at all. Uh, I. I'm huge in the circadian biology and circadian rhythm. And I think it is also the most important thing for us to watch. 'cause if your circadian rhythm is off everything else, it's this trickle down effect. So watching sunrise is the most, uh, I have so many posts on social media about sunlight and all.
I've been obsessed with the sun for over 10 plus years on all this study that we've done. And, uh, I will tell you the healthiest thing you can do all day is watch sunrise. Uh, because it sets you up. It's uh, uh. Two, I believe 2016, uh, Nobel Prize in biology could be 2017. One was fasting, one was circadian biology.
I get the years mixed up. Um, but showed basically that our, our hormones are completely based off of the exposure of the sun, like where it's at, and, and getting the exposure. And it tells us. So watching Sunrise tells us that 12 hours later you're gonna start utilizing that melatonin and, um. If you disrupt that, anything happens between that.
So that's where my day will always start. And then, uh, I I, there's a few other things that will go along with that, but of course our, uh, our light environment is just beyond cr. Like, there's no, there's, there's no, um, debating with that, you know, it, it's, uh, in our house, like I have the luxury, I have a lot of red light panels.
So I have red light panel. Um, actually I have these, um. Night sensors you buy on Amazon, they're little nightlights that go into your sockets and they're red. Um, and I have those throughout the house and we have red light panels on, and we have them on. You know, once sunset happens, we're very, that's the thing, it's, it's very sun when sunset occurs, like that's our natural circadian rhythm and everything else shifts off.
So we light panels. Um. It's also not eating. Uh, and I know not everyone has these luxuries, but not eating after sunset is for me. Technically, my last meal is usually at like 3:00 PM I get most people can't do that. Uh, but they also show like in um. The circadian code book where it's like the worst thing you could do for your health and you could do all this healthy stuff.
And if you eat like you know, three hours before bed, you've reversed everything you've done. And that makes sense because if you go to bed, you might be asleep, but your body is now working overdrive. Your cortisol's up, your blood sugars are up and it's having to work hard to digest that food so you're out and getting a restful sleep.
So those are kind of my. Key things that I do to make sure I get good sleep. Um, I like to read before bed too and just kind of decompress and that tends to like on like sleep. Like reading just really sets me up for a good sleep too.
Oh, absolutely. I love that.
Sleeping on linens by the way, like those are certain things I do.
I sleep on linen only for better sleep as well.
Oh, perfect. I love this and I love that you started with how you start your day, which is actually our next question is around, you know, your morning sleep routine with the idea that how you start your day could impact your sleep. Anything else that we missed with your morning sunlight?
Any other practices in the morning?
Usually I get up and I'll do, I always have lemon water and just kind of set myself up and for the day, do a lot of like gratitude. Uh, I do as soon as I can, especially when, uh, living in Florida it was a luxury to go watch sunrise at the beach and watch sunset at the beach.
Uh, here I just go outside in my front yard. Do that as well as I can. But, um, I mean, for setting up another thing also I forgot is like, I think it was the best if I can to the sauna at night. Uh, I always will do that because your response back to when you're in a hot, uh, is to cool off so your body's cooler when you sleep.
So I'll do like cold plunging in the morning to really wake me up. And not that I have a problem, like coffee doesn't do anything for me. Caffeine doesn't do anything for me. But once I wake up, I'm wide awake. Like I don't have any grogginess. Like, I'm awake, I'm awake, but I like to do ice tank 'cause it's a good time to really get you going and then eat as soon as I can just to get everything moving and flowing too.
But, um, just most of my morning routine is gratitude stuff and just kind of setting my, what I'm doing for the day.
Love that. And yeah, we even have research around gratitude and sleep and how that can make such a difference there. So I love that you're bringing that in. And the third question is, what might we see on your nightstand or in your environment?
And it sounds like you said five or six feet away from you. Is the block or is that what we would see? Yeah.
Yeah. It's closer to my wife's side, so Okay. I'd say it was like on her, it's always on her side. 'cause she, when, and we sleep, she puts things under there all the time. Whether it's her journals and her intentions.
Jewelry and stuff. Like, she likes to put everything she can under there. So, um, and uh, the only thing that I really have at my nightstand is a neuro visor. And, uh, I have a, I do have a lamp with salt. All our lamps are salt lamps, but a neuro visor, 'cause that, um, is a really cool device that, uh, I honestly, I can't stay awake through a session.
It puts me to sleep and it's like, it's a guarantee. I'll fall asleep with that. And
not that
I use it every night, but it, it's a guarantee. If I'm not tired, I'll put a neuro visor on and, and do the light show and I'm, I'm out before the session ends.
Amazing. Okay. Very cool. And then the last question would be, so far to date, what would you say has made the biggest change to your sleep?
Or said another way? Maybe biggest aha moment in managing your sleep.
Kind of what we mentioned before. Wanted to be watching TV before bed. It's anything that's like stimulating me, uh, even if it's not in a bad way, but like just mentally stimulating me. Like that messes me up. Yeah. And, um, eating, eating before bed is, for me, it's a, it's just a night and day difference.
Like, I can tell like, Ooh, I ate too late. Like even if it's something small for me.
Yeah.
Um, I wake, that's the time I can wake up with a little inflamm. It's just, you know, like, I think when people think like you have inflammation, um, when you sleep, it's not always your bed. It's like, what did you eat before?
Like if your neck hurts and stuff, I can always gauge off of that. But those are two things where I just know, and it doesn't mean I live this perfect life of like, I'm not eating because I, I gauge everything off of the juice worth to squeeze. And if I have friends in town or I'm visiting someone, someone invites me to a dinner.
I'm not gonna, I'm, and I don't say this for everyone, but I'm not the person who's like, sorry, it's against my health protocol. Because there's also a scenario where being with those people, being around this, showing this stuff, like whatever is gonna outweigh if I feel worse in the morning or whatever, like I'll take the time and the social, you know, experience with people, um, over that.
So I say all these things, which I pretty much will hold onto 98, 90 9% of the time. But I'm not also the person that says, sorry, cutting out. These aren't my rules. But I understand people don't have that luxury either, but. There are times where I eat at eight o'clock at night or something, you know, if my kids want something with me, I'm not gonna say no.
Um, I, I'll do it and then just get it. I, I just, uh, knowledge is power and I own it when I do it.
Yes, absolutely. We had, um, a sleep anthropologist on the podcast a while back. We looked at the Hudson tribe in Africa and pointed to this idea of your sleep capital versus social capital, and made the argument that when you look at hunter gatherer tribes, there's, you know, most of the time that's.
Pretty routine and, you know, kind of, uh, connected with the rhythms of the sun and they're investing in their sleep capital, but every now and again, investing in their social capital and their kind of dancing and all these things until late into the night. But that connectedness is the idea that since you know, loneliness can uptick all kinds of problems with sleep, and you're feeling disconnection.
It can make sense to invest in our social capital every now and again. So I love that. I think that healthy balance is wise as well, so. Great. And then lastly, for anyone listening that's saying, oh my gosh, so fascinating and I need to learn more, how can they follow you, Lila, beyond.
Yeah. Um, so with Lela, we have Lela Quantum Tech.
It's the, is the Instagram or Lela q uh, L-E-E-L-A q.com. In on there, you can go there and, uh, there's, right up front there's a research tab, so people can kind of go in the deeper about what our, uh, stuff that we talked about, the data with it, and you can see the products. And also if you want, you can go on there and ask any questions.
Uh, my personal social for Instagram is that odd Todd. You can put Todd Shipman in, it'll pop up, but you can ask me questions on there too about Lela, about sleep, uh, as well. But that's probably the best way to like, reach either of us. But, um, any questions through either that is, I'll either answer them or we can do it through the social media and you can see the products on there.
But the website's great because there's a lot of information and all the data we talked about, you can see the studies on there.
Amazing. Okay, well, we'll make sure to put all that in the show notes as well. Just so appreciate you taking the time and I love how the origin story of all this was to originally debunk this whole kind of field and yet now seeing the benefits and the difference it's made in your own life.
So I really appreciate you sharing that. And, you know, helping to educate our audience on more out of the box, if you will, literally ways to support your sleep.
Yeah. Well, I, I, I enjoy being able to help people in any way I can, and even if it's not quantum energy, again, if you have questions about any of this, I'm, I'm happy to give my input.
Uh, I va this is just, it's been a massive passion for me, so I focus on a lot of different types of modalities and technologies. Um, that just better our life. And if you have questions, please reach out to me. 'cause that's what, you know, I, I spent all this time researching and testing and it doesn't do any good if I don't get to use it and help people.
So, um, anything you really have, you know, it's, it's just always there. If I have, if I have, if I have the ability to help, I definitely will.
